TSU Professor Nino Chikhladze and Associate Professor Nato Pitskhelauri attended and presented oral presentations on the 16th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (Safety 2026), held in Cape Town, South Africa, on September 1–4, 2026.
World Conference Safety 2026 brought together leading researchers, public health professionals, policymakers, practitioners, and representatives of international organisations from around the world to advance evidence-based approaches to injury and violence prevention and safety promotion. The conference was held under the theme “Ubuntu: United for a Safer Future.”
The conference provided an important platform for sharing the latest research and innovations in injury prevention, road safety, violence prevention, safer environments, and the use of data and evidence to inform policies and practice. Key discussions also focused on strengthening collaboration and translating research into effective prevention and implementation strategies.
Participation in World Conference ,,Safety 2026'' offered a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with international experts, strengthen professional networks, and identify opportunities for future research and collaboration in injury prevention and public health.
